Juilliard has long been committed to developing exceptional talent not only on stage but also behind the scenes. Since its inception as the internship program in 1977, what is now known as the Professional Apprentice Program has been a powerhouse for hands-on learning and personal growth, and it has evolved to embrace fresh perspectives and an expanded impact.

This year, the program had 36 apprentices, whose positions included traditional administrative and technical theater roles as well as new ones, including work in the equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (EDIB) and creative enterprise offices.

The Professional Apprentice Program is devoted to supporting the artists and leaders of tomorrow. We take pride in the achievements of our alumni and remain committed to inspiring and uplifting each cohort of apprentices as they pursue their artistic journeys.
