Medical, Dental and Vision Plans
Full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental and vision coverage. Medical, dental and vision plans are effective the first of the month following date of hire. There is an employee contribution for each plan. Medical benefits are through Oxford. Employees have a choice of two Oxford health plans; one is a traditional Point-of-Service (POS) plan, with both HMO and out-of-network benefits. The other is a Consumer Directed Health Plan (CDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA).
The School offers dental benefits through Aetna U.S. Healthcare. Employees may choose a DMO dentist or use a Passive Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan, which has both in and out-of-network benefits.
Vision benefits are offered through VSP. The plan is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), which offers the flexibility to see either in or out-of-network providers.
Eligible employees may begin participation in a TIAA-CREF retirement annuity plan upon completion of two years of service at Juilliard or another educational institution without a break in service.
Full-time staff members accrue 1-1/4 days of vacation for each month of employment. Employees who have been at Juilliard for ten years accrue 1-2/3 days per month. In addition, Juilliard offers a generous holiday schedule.
Full-time staff members accrue seven (7) hours of Sick Leave per month. A staff member may accrue up to 45 days of Sick Leave.
Full-time staff members receive four personal days per year.
