JSTOR

Juilliard’s Lila Acheson Wallace Library is pleased to announce that the School’s alumni now have free access to the same JSTOR collections that are available to current students and faculty. To access JSTOR, please log into Juilliard's Alumni Online Community.  Not a member? Register using your alumni ID card number.  If you can't locate your Alumni ID - simply contact Alumni Office at (212) 799-5000 ext. 344 or via e-mail. 

JSTOR (“journal storage”), a non-profit service founded in 1995 with support of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, is a digital archive of over 1,000 academic journals. Juilliard’s subscription covers full text journals in such disciplines as African Studies, Anthropology, Architecture & Architectural History, Art & Art History, Asian Studies, Education, Feminist & Women’s Studies, Film Studies, Folklore, History, Jewish Studies, Language & Literature, Latin American Studies, Linguistics, Middle East Studies, Music, Performing Arts, Philosophy, and Religion.

Free Alumni E-Mail Forwarding

Alumni are eligible to take advantage of our free e-mail forwarding service, which is one of the offerings available to alumni through the Juilliard Alumni Online Community . Click here to access the Online Community and click on "New User Registration" under "Online Community" under the "Login' button in the center of the page to register. Please note that to register, you will need to use your Alumni ID Number  in the ID Verification field. (Please be sure to use only this number, as using another value instead will delay your registration.) Your Alumni ID Number is available on your Alumni ID card and also on the mailing label of The Juilliard Journal. If you need help determining your ID number, please contact the Alumni Relations Office. 

Insurance

Artists' Health Insurance Resource Center (AHIRC): The Office of Alumni Relations has been made aware of a valuable resource for information on health insurance for artists — the Artists' Health Insurance Resource Center. The AHIRC database was created in 1998 by The Actors' Fund of America, with a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, as a health insurance resource for artists and people in the entertainment industry. Since then, and with support from The Commonwealth Fund, it has expanded to include resources for the self-employed, low-income workers, the under-insured, and the uninsured who require medical care. Because health care is a local service and the availability of affordable, quality health insurance differs greatly from state to state, please visit the AHIRC Web site to find the insurance availability in your local state.

This program is a month to month no commitment membership. There are no initiation fees and you will receive an additional $5.00 off your monthly dues (monthly dues vary from club to club).
