Frankie J. Alvarez (Group 41) stars in the new HBO series Looking, which was created by Michael Lannan and directed by Michael Haigh. It premiered in January and has episodes written by J.C. Lee (Playwrights ’12).
In January, Phillipa Soo (Group 41) took the role of tragic heroine Olive Thomas in a reading of Ghostlight. The musical, by Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto, tells the story of the Ziegfeld girl and silent-film star whose death, in 1920, has been called one of the first great Hollywood scandals.
Dion Mucciacito (Group 37) is featured in Napoli! at San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater. Written by Eduardo De Filippo and directed by Mark Rucker, the production runs through March 9.
