2010s
Dance Theater of Harlem relaunched its touring company, which kicked off in New York in April at Jazz at Lincoln Center. Dancers include Jehbreal Jackson (BFA ’11) and Gabrielle Salvatto (BFA ’11). The company will perform at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival from June 19 to 23.
2000s
Aaron Carr (BFA ’09) and Rachelle Rafailedes (BFA ’09) are now working with L.A. Dance Project. Carr continues to also dance with Keigwin + Company.
Brian Brooks Moving Company will perform from July 10 to 14 at the Jacob’s Pillow festival. Evan Teitelbaum (BFA ’09) is a member of the company.
Dominic Santia (BFA ’06) and Spenser Theberge (BFA ’09), dancers with Nederlands Dans Theater, performed with the troupe at Lincoln Center’s Koch Theater in April.
Isaac Spencer (BFA ’04) and Nigel Campbell (BFA ’08) have joined Sweden’s GoteborgsOperans Danskompani.

2010s
Carmela Corbett (Group 41) starred in the world premiere of Smokefall by Noah Haidle (Playwrights ’03), which played at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, Calif., in late March and most of April. It was directed by Anne Kauffman.
Justine Lupe (Group 40) is featured in LAByrinth Theater Company’s Bank Street Theater production of Bob Glaudini’s A Family for All Occasions directed by Philip Seymour Hoffman. Previews began in April and opening night is May 12.
Three alumnae of the Lila Acheson Wallace American Playwrights Program were among the 10 finalists for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, chosen from over 100 nominated plays. They are Laura Marks (Playwrights ’11) for Bethany, Jenny Schwartz (Playwrights ’04) for Somewhere Fun, and Francine Volpe (Playwrights ’01) for The Good Mother. The prize honors an outstanding new English-language play by a woman each year.

Sean Chen (BM ’10, MM ’12, piano) became the 2013 DeHaan Classical Fellow of the American Pianists Association in April. Runners-up for the award, which includes a two-year fellowship, cash, career assistance, and recording opportunities, included second-year master’s student Sara Daneshpour and Eric Zuber (MM ’11).
Christine Lamprea (BM ’11, cello) won first place in the 16th annual Sphinx competition, which took place in February in Detroit.
2000s
Jeanette Vecchione (BM ’06, MM ’08, voice) performed the national anthem at a Miami Heat game in February. That same month she performed Mozart’s Magic Flute with the Florida Grand Opera.
Brandon Cedel (Pre-College ’06) sang the role of Nerbulone in Gotham Chamber Opera’s production of Eliogabolo, in March at New York City’s the Box.
In March, Miranda Cuckson (Pre-College ’90; BM ’94, MM ’01, DMA ’06, violin), working through her nonprofit organization, Nunc, organized a concert of Ralph Shapey’s chamber... Read more
