We recognize that parents, guardians or other family members often play an essential role in helping students succeed at Juilliard. However, due to federal privacy regulations (FERPA), all of our communication, including financial aid reminders, award letters and billing statements, is sent to the student via his/her Juilliard e-mail account or on-campus mailbox. In addition, most information specific to currently enrolled Juilliard college students resides on our department pages, which are available only to these students.
However, we are happy to provide the following resources and reminders to assist parents and others to support their Juilliard student.
Reapplying for Financial Aid
Students continuing in their same program of study should reapply for financial aid, including Juilliard Scholarship, by May 1, 2017. Only the following items are needed:
U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents: Complete the FAFSA. Beginning this year, the FAFSA is available on October 1 and requires that filers use earlier income data. To learn more, please refer to FAFSA Information: Early Filing and Prior Prior Year Data.
Additional information or documentation may be needed after the FAFSA is processed. We strongly encourage families to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) while completing the FAFSA. This will ensure accuracy and reduce the number of follow-up items that may be needed after filing.
International Students: Complete the International Student Financial Aid Application. This can be emailed, faxed, or mailed to our office.
Students may now grant access to designated persons to see their financial aid documents received, award notices, billing statements and more. Students must complete this set-up by logging in to WebAdvisor at http://wa.juilliard.edu. (You will need a Juilliard network logon to access WebAdvisor.) There they will find the Parent/Guardian Access Controls under the "Communication" heading after logging in.
