Events and College Fairs

The Juilliard School hosts many on and off-campus events throughout fall  and spring for prospective applicants as they research their college options. For a map of all of our events across the country, please click here

  1. College Fairs
Juilliard will be attending several college fairs, providing information and answering questions on Juilliard and its programs. These events are open to the public, although registration may be required in advance. Be sure to read the details for each fair prior to submitting your registration.
  2. School Visits
Juilliard staff members will be visiting high schools throughout the country in order to provide information on Juilliard, its programs, and requirements for application. These events are only open to students of the high school being visited.
  3. Applying to Music Schools
A joint presentation with Eastman School of Music and Ithaca College. Learn the basics of what it takes to apply to any conservatory before hearing about the specifics of applying to Juilliard

  1. Departmental Information Sessions & Tours
These information sessions provide a concentrated experience and allow you to hear directly from students and administrators with first-hand knowledge of the training offered. Information sessions focused on the following areas of study will be offered in the fall semester: Composition, Orchestral and Keyboard Instruments; Jazz Studies; Vocal Arts; and Dance.

A tour of Juilliard's facilities will follow and will visit the same spaces as the Campus Tour. Because of this, we ask that you please do not register for both a Campus Tour and a departmental information session.
  2. Drama Division Spotlights and Tours
The Drama Division offers four Spotlight on Drama events during the fall semester. Each of these Spotlights include a tour, an information session, and tickets to that day's performance. The Drama Division offers select tours throughout the fall semester.
  3. Class Observations
Prospective students who plan to apply to a college program in the next 1-2 years can arrange to observe academic and performance classes on a case-by-case basis.

Request to observe a Dance Division class
Request to observe a Music Division class

Please note, the Drama Division has created a safe environment in which students can learn, practice, and take artistic risks. The intimate nature of the training and class size make it extremely difficult to observe these classes. For these reasons, observations of Drama Division classes cannot be arranged.

Please keep in mind that many of our events are limited in capacity and we highly recommend registering for them well in advance. Additionally, some events are only available to certain groups of prospective students (for example, some high school college fairs are only open to current students). Please be sure to read the description of the event carefully before submitting your registration form.
