B.M., M.M., and D.M.A., The Juilliard School, studies with Joseph Fuchs.

Biographical Information:
Chamber musician, recitalist, and 20th-century music proponent. Has performed in hundreds of premieres, commissions, and first recordings of solo violin and chamber works by Carter, Davidovsky, Perle, Wuorinen, and Mackey, among others. As member of the New World String Quartet from 1982-93, performed in virtually all the important concert series in the U.S.A. and abroad. Violinist of Speculum Musicae and Da Capo Chamber Players, and a founding member of the Apollo Trio. Recordings include a solo CD, Casting Ecstatic, on CRI; the complete Grieg Sonatas on Arabesque; an all-Steve Mackey disc, Interior Design; and the complete Brahms Sonatas, both on Bridge; also has recorded for Koch International. Winner, Loeb and Naumburg awards. Current violin faculty, Manhattan School of Music; has also taught at the Tanglewood, Taos, and Yellow Barn Music Festivals.
