Biographical Information:
Principal percussionist with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, MET Orchestra, and MET Chamber Ensemble. Has toured the U.S., Europe, and Japan. Heard on the Met's live weekly international radio broadcasts, television broadcasts, CDs, and laser discs with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra on the Sony, DG, and EMI labels. Performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra; N.Y. Philharmonic. Active soloist, recitalist, composer, and clinician; performs regularly with Percussionists of the Met. In 2002, performed the premiere of Hseuh-Yung Shen's Legend for solo percussionist and orchestra, commissioned for him by the Met, at Carnegie Hall with James Levine and the MET Orchestra. Faculty member, the UBS Verbier Music Festival.
