Early studies with Ilona Vincze at the Tel Aviv Music Academy. B.M., M.M., D.M.A., The Juilliard School; studies with Irwin Freundlich. Further studies with Dorothy Taubman.
Biographical Information:
Prizewinner, J.S. Bach International Competition, Washington, D.C. Numerous appearances in recitals, chamber music, and with orchestras, as well as on radio and television in Israel and the U.S. Frequent lectures and master classes throughout the U.S., Israel, and Korea. Festivals: Bowdoin Summer Festival since 1995; Aspen Music Festival since 2004; other festivals include Pianofest in Long Island, N.Y., the Cliburn-T.C.U. Institute, Tel Hai Master Classes in Israel. Adjudicator in international competitions, including the Van Cliburn, Cleveland, Arthur Rubinstein, Dublin, and Tchaikovsky. Recipient, Presidential Scholars Teacher Recognition Award, 2003. Former faculty, Philadelphia U. of the Arts, Manhattan School of Music, Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, 1989-97.
