Biographical Information:
Music director, Las Vegas Music Festival. Guest conductor throughout the United States and Eastern Europe. Collaborations with soloists including Sarah Chang, Hilary Hahn, Edgar Meyer, and Samuel Ramey. Premieres include works by Philippe Bodin, Samuel Barber, Virko Baley, Huang Ruo, and William Schuman. Published leadership research (Leadership Quarterly, 2004). Awards include State of Nevada Regents Creativity Award and the Bruno Walter Memorial Fellowship (Juilliard). Festivals: Aspen, Peter Britt, Focus!, Quartet Program, Kiev International, Alea III, and Ukrainian Summer. Former conducting positions at Las Vegas (U. of Nevada); Winona, Minn.; Jacksonville, Ore.; and Pittsburgh, Pa.
