The 111th Juilliard School Commencement Exercises will take place at 11am on Friday, May 20, 2016, in Alice Tully Hall.

Helpful Information for Families

Tickets to Commencement are very limited. Each graduating student participating in the ceremony will receive two tickets; doctoral candidates are entitled to four tickets. Graduating students will receive their tickets when they submit their cap and gown forms. At that time, students will be able to enter into a ticket lottery for the chance of obtaining ONE additional ticket. The ticket lottery takes place in late March or early April. As of this date, the 2016 commencement ticket lottery has been completed. All tickets have been distributed.

Please be advised, tickets to the ceremony are not available for purchase.

There will be a standby line to get into the ceremony on the morning of Commencement. Historically, individuals in the standby line have been able to gain entrance to the ceremony. Additionally, the ceremony will be broadcast to an overflow room in Alice Tully Hall for individuals who are not able to get seated in the auditorium and on the Juilliard Web site to anyone who wishes to watch from home.

Juilliard welcomes family members and guests with disabilities on Commencement Day. Accessible seating tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Juilliard will make every effort to accommodate parents and guests without accessible seating tickets on the morning of Commencement, however accessible seating is limited and advanced planning is strongly encouraged.  Please note that the livestream on the Juilliard website will be closed-captioned. Should you or a guest require captions at the ceremony, please contact the Office of Academic Support and Disability Services at oass@juilliard.edu. Additional questions regarding accessibility accommodation needs for Commencement events should be directed to concertoffice@juilliard.edu.
