Music Division Performance Activities Chamber Music
Chamber music holds a prominent
and active place in the Juilliard curriculum. Members of Juilliard's three
resident ensembles — the Juilliard String Quartet, the American Brass
Quintet, and the New York Woodwind Quintet — are joined by 35 other chamber
music faculty members to provide coaching to more than 120 chamber groups.
As a vital element of our students' musical education, public performances
by Juilliard's student chamber ensembles take place regularly. The School's
unique Lincoln Center location offers students the opportunity to perform
in some of the world's highest-profile concert halls, such as Alice
Tully Hall, while bringing varied and outstanding free performance series
to the Lincoln Center community.
Following is an alphabetical list of the various chamber performance opportunities available to Juilliard students. (Some are required classes; all involve live performances.) Click on the name to find out more.
