Resident Ensembles

Three prominent chamber groups-the Juilliard String Quartet, American Brass Quintet, and New York Woodwind Quintet-are in residence at The Juilliard School. Members of these world-renowned groups teach individually, coach student ensembles, and give performances, adding immeasurably to the quality of chamber-music instruction and performance at Juilliard.

In addition, the Graduate Resident String Quartet program enables a young, professional string quartet to be in residence at Juilliard and to coach with the Juilliard String Quartet. The members of the selected quartet, named Lisa Arnhold Fellows, receive stipends and free tuition, regular coaching with the J.S.Q., serve as teaching assistants, and perform the annual Lisa Arnhold Memorial Concert.
