Special Academic Opportunities
Barnard-Columbia Cross-Registration Through an exchange program established with Barnard College and Columbia University in 1989, eligible Juilliard students may apply to take one class per semester at either institution. Undergraduate students may utilize approved credits toward the liberal arts elective requirement in their degree program. Graduate students may elect to participate in this cross-registration for the sheer privilege of enriching their focused
performance studies. All applicants must be in good standing in their Juilliard studies, with demonstrated aptitude for the increased scholastic rigor that classes at Barnard and Columbia demand. Information and applications are available in the Registrar’s Office. Applications must be filed each semester, by the last day of classes for that semester.
