Born in Minneapolis, MN
Record producer and label executive in Los Angeles for 24 years. Current president and record producer with Rafina Entertainment, which along with co-producer Jim Fallon, has a development deal to produce and record young new artists in jazz and classical. Author, Reading Exercises for Solfège and A Composers Treatise for Scoring Percussion. Served on board of governors, as national trustee, and past Los Angeles president of Recording Academy (Grammy Awards), currently serving on board of governors based in N.Y. Touring drummer for recording artists and former timpanist for National Festival Orchestra; principal percussionist for Northwinds Symphonic Band; founding member of recording group Aegean Chamber Percussion. Co-founder with Michael Whalen of OPUS, which gives daylong seminars at universities around the country on "Future Trends in Music for the Classical Musician". Recently scored a percussion fugue for the movie Sedona. Producer, Juilliard Jazz Quintet and Juilliard Jazz Orchestra debut albums.
