Born in Wichita, KS
Freelance trombonist, N.Y.C. Member, American Brass Quintet, since 1983. Performs and records as principal trombonist with the Orchestra of St. Luke's, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Little Orchestra Society, and Aspen Festival Orchestra; performs on Broadway and records for radio, television, and cinema. Commissioned, premiered, and recorded the Sonata for Trombone and Piano by Eric Ewazen on the Well- Tempered label. Frequently appears with such diverse ensembles as the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Zankel Band, Speculum Musicae, N.Y. Chamber Symphony, Classical Band, P.D.Q. Bach, and Tidewater Quintet. Solo appearances with the Orchestra of St. Luke's, Aspen Music Festival, Kansas City Philharmonic, and New Hampshire Music Festival. Master classes in trombone and chamber music worldwide. Faculty, SUNY-Stony Brook; Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers U.; Aspen Music School.
