Born in Louisville, OH
Debut at age 11 playing Mendelssohn Concerto followed by recital and orchestral appearances throughout the U.S. Performances at White House Presidential Gala and on ABC and CBS TV networks. Master classes: Yale Graduate School of Music, Eastman, SUNY-Purchase, Aguascalientes (Mexico), Melbourne and Sydney (Australia) as guest of AUSTA 2000 Celebration. Solo and chamber-music appearances: Victoria (Canada) International Music Festival, Festival Casals (Puerto Rico), Fontainebleau (France) Music Festival, Heifetz Institute, Augustus Juilliard 100th Anniversary Celebration 2010. Students have won major competitions and performed in master classes of Milstein, Perlman, Stern, Szeryng, and Zukerman. Director of first Aspen String Workshop with DeLay, Harth, Perlman, Stern, and Weilerstein. Visiting professor, Ecole Americaine, Fontainbleau (France) and, currently, InterHarmony Festivals in Germany. Honors include MacDowell Special Award for Excellence in Music, President McKinley Ohio Wall of Fame, and Presidential Scholar Teacher Recognition Award. Author and illustrator, 24-volume violin method. Current faculty, Mannes College the New School for Music; Peabody Conservatory (emeritus).

Early training in California. Graduate, The Juilliard School; violin studies with Ivan Galamian, chamber music with the Juilliard Quartet.
