Born in Chicago, IL
With Pierre Dulaine, was four-time British Exhibition Champion. Co-founder and co-artistic director,American Ballroom Theater Company, and later, Dancing Classrooms (which was featured in the well known documenatry Mad Hot Ballroom.) Winner: Astaire Award, Gene Kelly Award, Dance Magazine Award, Americans for the Arts Award for Education and National Dance Council of America Award. Performed in the original cast of Grand Hotel on Broadway and in London. Television: 1992 Kennedy Center Honors, PBS Tribute to Fred Astaire. Film: choreographer for Mona Lisa Smile. Published in the International Encyclopedia of Dance. Former faculty member at the School of American Ballet, and the Actor's Studio. Currently teaching at NYU.
Degrees and Studies
B.F.A., U. of Utah. Associate degree, Imperial Society of Ballroom Dance. Partnered with Pierre Dulaine and together studied ballroom/adagio dance in New York with John Roudis.
