October was Hispanic Heritage Month, and the student body took the opportunity to celebrate its diversity. The Office of Student Affairs sponsored "Latin Percussion With Javier Diaz," and the Multicultural Young Artists Network (MYAN) met for its annual fall luncheon. Diaz wasn't the only musician to visit the School in October. Juilliard also welcomed clarinetist and saxophonist Paquito D'Rivera, pianist Billy Childs, and bassist Christian McBride.
