Violinists Austin Hartman and Hyunsu Ko, violist Mary Persin, and cellist Jason Calloway—as the Biava Quartet, Juilliard’s current graduate string quartet-in-residence—performs quartets by Haydn, Kodaly, and Mendelssohn on November 6 on Merkin Concert Hall’s Tuesday Matinees series at the New York Society for Ethical Culture.

Chu-Fang Huang, an Artist Diploma candidate in piano, performs at Zankel Hall on the Young Concert Artists series in New York on December 10.

Edvinas Minkstimas, a doctoral candidate in piano studying with Jerome Lowenthal, was awarded first prize in the Fifth International Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis Piano Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania, in September.
