| During the last few weeks of the fall semester, Juilliard students - dance, drama, and music - dazzled the audiences with a blitz of performances representing months of study, preparation, and collaboration. After working with composer George Walker, the Juilliard Orchestra performed his Sinfonia No. 3 in a December 10 concert that also included works by Jolivet and Beethoven. Third- and fourth-year drama students mounted three productions in November and December, including Ibsen's Ghosts and two works developed by faculty members Mina Yakin and Moni Yakim: Fables of La Fontaine and Under Milk Wood, respectively. Between December 7 and December 16, students in the dance division presented three concerts in six nights. In December Dance Creations, the sounds of "Recovered Voices" were heard through new choreographies by Nicolo Fonte, Robert Battle, and Adam Hougland. In Choreographers and Composers Plus, a two-part concert, student composer/choreographer pairs and dance students working on independent projects delighted audiences with their original works.Slide Show: Recent Events
