December saw the annual New Dances series back in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater. For New Dances: Edition 2008, four newly-commissioned works by choreographers Larry Keigwin, Johannes Wieland, Darrell Grand Moultrie, and Sidra Bell were premiered. Drama students were also busy that month, with third- and fourth-year productions of Bill Irwin and Mark O’Donnell’s Scapin, Federico Garcia Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba, and Brian Friel’s Dancing at Lughnasa, respectively.
