Music and dance alumni had occasion to gather in November and December, to attend Juilliard performances in their respective divisions and catch up with classmates at receptions before or after the events. Alan Gilbert led the Juilliard Orchestra in Bernstein's Kaddish Symphony and Beethoven's Symphony No. 3 ("Eroica") in Avery Fisher Hall on November 24, with Jennifer Zetlan (pictured at the alumni reception with her husband, David Shimoni) as the soprano soloist for the Bernstein. Dance alumni gathered a month later to attend the New Dances: Edition 2008 performance in the Peter Jay Sharp Theater and mingle at a reception in the President's Board Room.
