Recent Events

The fourth-year drama season opened with a production of Lorraine Hansberry’s A Raisin in the Sun, the legendary play depicting the members of a black family on the South Side of Chicago as they struggle to define their future. Directed by Jade King Carroll, the play ran from October 20-24. Above: Corey Antonio Hawkins (left), as Walter Lee Younger, shared a charged moment with guest artist Brenda Pressley, who played Lena Younger or “Mama.” Other recent events included third- and fourth-year drama productions, Monteverdi’s  L’Incoronazione di Poppea, and Halloween revelers at Scarnival, among others.
