To mark the start of the school year, students, faculty, and staff gathered for the annual convocation and picnic. Welcoming remarks by President Joseph W. Polisi and Provost and Dean Ara Guzelimian were followed by drama alumna Carrie Preston (Group 23) presenting scenes from three of her films: 29th and Gay; Ready? OK!; and That’s What She Said. Convocation ended with a performance by the graduate resident string quartet, the Attacca, of the second movement of John Adams’s String Quartet.
