Juilliard String Quartet
The Juilliard String Quartet app offers a comprehensive look at Juilliard's celebrated quartet in residence performing Schubert's beloved "Death and the Maiden" Quartet. It has many special features, including the ability to highlight individual instruments, a scrolling score, an innovative BeatMap visualization of the music, in-depth commentary, historical context, and multiple camera angles of the performance. There’s also a full performance of Schubert’s song “Death and the Maiden,” upon which he would later base the second movement of the quartet, performed by mezzo-soprano Avery Amereau and pianist Brian Zeger, artistic director of Juilliard’s Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts.
Primarily for Juilliard students, faculty, and staff, Juilliard Mobile is designed to give quick and easy access to School-related information and services for people on the go. Whether you’re a student wanting to check your grades, a faculty member needing to use the online directory, a prospective student looking for admissions information, or an arts lover wanting to explore our many dance, drama, and music performances, this app will enhance your experience as a Juilliard community member.
