| This year's Focus! festival celebrated the works of (almost) centenarian Elliott Carter with six concerts from Jan. 25 to Feb. 2 featuring his (and others') compositions. Pierre Boulez and James Levine both visited the School to conduct the opening and closing performances, respectively, while Mr. Carter himself participated in a panel discussion moderated by festival director Joel Sachs (they are pictured here). While the music community looked back on the long, ongoing career of Elliott Carter, the Juilliard drama community got a chance to reflect on Group 37's relatively short time here at the School. The fourth-year drama class, which staged John Guare's House of Blue Leaves in December, mounted their final Juilliard production, The Greeks Part II: The Murders, Feb. 14 - 18 in the newly-named Stephanie P. McClelland Drama Theater.Slide Show: Recent Events
