Summer Projects Reflect Generous Hearts and Spirited Exploration
Summer is the time when many Juilliard students take their talents outside the School’s walls and the city’s borders, often in public-service projects funded by a Juilliard Summer Grant. Whether aimed at bolstering the resources of a struggling community orchestra; bringing performances to prisoners, troubled adolescents, and hospital patients; or empowering impoverished youngsters to collaborate with each other and envision improving their society, these varied and inspiring projects demonstrate the power of artistic connection to enrich the lives of participants on each end.
