Welcoming New Staff

Development

Meredith Gordon joins us from Harrisburg, Pa., where she worked for the executive director of Harrisburg Opera. She graduated from Northwestern University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in communication studies. Upon graduation, she spent one year in China, teaching English to university students and children, and she also lived in Ireland for several months. An avid lover of the arts and travel, Meredith is especially delighted to be working for National Advancement at Juilliard.

Joshua Jacobson joins Juilliard as capital campaign operations manager. Most recently, he served as grants manager and Web administrator with the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville. Past positions also include a stint in Florida state-level politics as a campaign consultant and a public relations internship with the now-infamous Palm Beach County Government. Josh is a magna cum laude graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine, Fla. with a B.A. in English and communication. In his spare time, Josh enjoys playing acoustic guitar, reading Russian literature, and surfing the Net.

Financial Aid

A native of Madison, Wis., Todd Walker holds degrees in trumpet performance from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and Indiana University in Bloomington. He moved to New York City in October to join the Juilliard staff as office assistant in the Office of Financial Aid, and has been maintaining an active career as a performer throughout the tristate area.

Health Office

Caroline Greenleaf joins Juilliard as administrative director of Health and Counseling Services. She is currently a master’s degree candidate at Sarah Lawrence College in the Health Advocacy Pro gram. Caroline moved to New York from Maine three years ago, where she had practiced law in Maine with specialties in heath law, elder and probate law, and business and tax. Caroline grew up in Indianapolis and spent most of her time as a young person at the Jordan School of Dance and Music. She majored in technical theater and education at Washington University, and (many states and theater jobs later) ended up in law school. She has remained active in children’s theater as a scene designer and choreographer, and has been a member of the St. Cecilia Chorus in N.Y.C. Caroline has one son, who is pursuing his passion for music as a violinist.

Costume shop foreman Joel Brandwine graduated from Boston University with a degree in technical direction. He has worked for Blue Man Group, the Huntington Theater Company, Second Stage, New York Theater Workshop, and numerous other venues around the country. This summer he will be the associate technical director at the Williamstown Theater Festival.
