The year got off to an exciting start with the performances of the first centennial commission of the season, Eliot Feld's Sir Isaac's Apples. The premiere of Feld’s ramp dance was given by the Juilliard Dance Ensemble in September and October at the newly named Peter Jay Sharp Theater. Other fall happenings included performances of Thomas Gibbons's Black Russian by fourth-year drama students and the Jazz Ensemble at the Time Warner Center with guest Bobby Watson.
