The school year kicked off with the annual convocation, where faux hard hats were the fashion statement of the day. Other September events included the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition winners recital, this year performed by Michael Bukhman and Ran Dank, and a community sing of the Mozart Requiem, commemorating the fifth anniversary of 9/11.
