October was a month of celebrations for the Juilliard community. The Sing for Hope Prize, awarded to Juilliard vocalists using music for humanitarian causes, was inaugurated in a concert given by nearly 50 alumni and faculty members. Also in October,  the 2006-07 Student Ambassadors were selected, Stanislaw Skrowaczewski returned to the School to conduct the Juilliard Orchestra, and the Jazz Orchestra honored the great clarinetist Benny Goodman.  (Photo by Nan Melville)
