Drama Alumni Sing the Praises of Cabaret

Juilliard's drama program may focus on "straight acting" (no musical theater), but it does include three years of singing class, punctuated with an annual evening of cabaret in the third year. Current student Sean Davis spoke with two recent drama alums who are flexing their musical muscles now: Patrick Heusinger (photo) and Tracie Thoms, who both say that Juilliard laid a strong foundation for their current work as singers.
