Tully Hall to Close for Extensive Facelift

After 38 nonstop years of hosting orchestras, chamber groups, jazz musicians, and film festivals, Alice Tully Hall (seen in a photo from its dedication concert in October 1969) is temporarily closing her doors to undergo an 18-month facelift. While the renovations are welcome, the hall’s closing puts a strain on Juilliard, the Chamber Music Society, and other organizations that regularly rely on Tully for their events. More...
