The Juilliard Opera Center opened its 2002-03 season with three performances of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin at the Juilliard Theater in November. Pictured here is the cast in the second act ball scene. The production—the first Russian opera ever mounted at the School to be performed in its original language—was directed by faculty member Eve Shapiro and conducted by Julius Rudel.
