2013 Juilliard Club September Salon


On Wednesday, September 18, Juilliard Club members and friends attended our annual September Salon at the home of Juilliard Council member Leslie Nelson. Guests enjoyed an intimate evening of salon-style performances featuring students from the Jazz Studies, Drama, Vocal Arts, and Pre-College Divisions. Juilliard Council member and host of the September Salon, Leslie Nelson, welcomes Juilliard Club members and guests.

Trumpeter Riley Mulherkar (B.M. '14, jazz studies) and pianist Luke Celenza (B.M. '14, jazz studies) open the evening's performance with a rendition of "I Want To Be Happy" from No, No, Nanette.

Fourth-year Drama students Brittany Vicars and Samuel Lilja (both B.F.A. '14, drama) perform a scene from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Countertenor John Holiday (A.D. '14, opera studies) performs "Gelido in ogni vena" from Vivaldi's opera Farnace, accompanied by John Arida (M.M. '13, collaborative piano).

Pre-College violinist Elizabeth Aoki performs the virtuosic Introduction and Tarantella, Op. 43 by Pablo Sarasate, accompanied by Peter Dugan (B.M. '11, M.M. '14, piano), who is not pictured.
