Rosalind Newman has been a Dance faculty member since 2015. She has choreographed more than 80 works and her company, Rosalind Newman and Dancers, has had major seasons in New York as well as tours in the U.S. and Europe. She is founding artistic director and choreographer of Dance HK/NY in Hong Kong and has served as a guest artist and teacher for companies, conservatories, and universities in both the U.S. and abroad. Her awards include the Guggenheim Fellowship, awards from the Hong Kong Dance Alliance and New York Foundation for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Arts. She is a distinguished alumna of the University of Wisconsin. Newman received her PhD from the London Contemporary Dance School at the University of Kent.
