Ian Debono

Ian Debono (he/him), from San Francisco, California, began his training at the age of 4. In 2019, he graduated from the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts, working with artists Gregory Dawson, Arturo Fernandez, and Claudia Anata Hubiak, while attending San Francisco Academy of Ballet under the direction of Richard Gibson and Zory Karah. In 2016, Ian performed as a guest in the Oakland Ballet Company’s Nutcracker, and in 2017, he trained at Alonzo King LINES Ballet’s summer intensive. Ian is currently a member of The Juilliard School’s Class of 2023and has performed works by Ohad Naharin, Donald McKayle, Paul Taylor, Trisha Brown, and Jermaine Spivey & Spenser Theberge among others. Ian has been a Gluck Fellow for the past two years to carry out his mission in integrating the arts with the community.
