In 2014–15 the Center for Innovation in the Arts (C.I.A.) launched InterArts, a program for recent alumni and advanced students interested in developing interdisciplinary and multimedia work. Participants have the opportunity to collaborate with creative artists in diverse disciplines including dance, drama, music, video, and projection design.
InterArts begins with a series of presentations in performance technology given by C.I.A. faculty and designers. The presentations include hands-on experience with music and sound design, video and projection, lighting and scenic design, and interactive performance technology.
Following the presentations, participants gather into collaborative teams to develop their own interdisciplinary projects. The process concludes with a workshop performance in the Willson Theater.
