Juilliard Historical Performance offers singular opportunities that do not exist at any other school, preparing students for a professional career in music.

  • Juilliard415, the School's primary period-instrument ensemble, provides students with the chance to work at the highest professional level in terms of excellence, breadth of experience, repertoire, and associations with guest artists.
  • A highly structured chamber music program offers coaching and performance experience in a wide range of Baroque and Classical music.

  • An unrivaled roster of resident and guest artists: Monica Huggett, Nicholas McGegan, Ton Koopman, William Christie, Masaaki Suzuki, Jordi Savall, Jane Glover, Harry Bicket, and many others.
  • National and international tours have taken Juilliard415 to Japan, Italy, the Netherlands, Southeast Asia, France, and England
  • Dynamic programming of repertoire from the late 16th through the 19th centuries on period instruments.
  • Appearances at the Boston Early Music Festival and the Leipzig Bach Fest.
  • First-ever conservatory-in-residence, 2013 Utrecht Early Music Festival.

Vocal Music

  • Collaborations with Juilliard's Marcus Institute of Vocal Arts.

  • Regular performances at Juilliard and around New York City, including on the Tuesdays at Twelve series at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Master Classes

  • Esteemed guest artists from around the world at Juilliard.
  • Master class teachers have included Rachel Podger, Fabio Biondi, Harry Bicket, and Members of Les Arts Florissants, among many others.
