Acclaimed multi-genre musician, composer, and Juilliard Creative Associate Rhiannon Giddens hosts a curated retrospective of her vocal and instrumental works as a part of Spring ChamberFest.

Featuring students from Music, Historical Performance, the Ellen and James S. Marcus Institute for Vocal Arts, Jazz, and Drama departments, Giddens will explore her creative process in a collaborative conversation with the student performers.

The program highlights classical and folk traditions and includes Lullaby (2015-2016); excerpts from the ballet Black Lucy and the Bard (2018)--a piece with no written musical score that is passed down by memory; and the overture and selected arias from Omar (2019-2020).
