Winner, Naumburg Chamber Music Award. Founding member, Aspen Wind Quintet, performing more than 1,000 concerts throughout U.S., Europe, former Soviet Union, and North Africa. Creator-director, Aspen Wind Quintet and Kids Project. Commissioned wind quintets from Paquito D'Rivera, Ronald Roseman, David Sampson, Allen Shawn, Robert Ward, Frank Zappa. Grant recipient: National Endowment for the Arts, N.Y. State Council on the Arts, Chamber Music America, Mary Duke Biddle Foundation, Cary Trust. Festivals: Numus (Denmark), Kuhmo (Finland), and Algiers (Algeria). Principal flute, Concordia Chamber Orchestra under Marin Alsop.
