Winner, Munich International Competition, 1982; Naumburg Competition, 1985. Recordings: Sony Classical, and Vivarte, DG, EMI, Bridge, Hyperion. International soloist with performances throughout Europe, U.S., Asia. Recital appearances at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall, Library of Congress. Concerto appearances with the St. Louis, Indianapolis, BBC, and Yomuri Symphonies; Minnesota and Berlin Radio Orchestras. Festivals: Sarasota, Fla.; Orford, Canada; Brereton, U.K.; Fondazione Musicale Santa Cicila, Italy; Festival Consonances, France; Osnabrück, Germany; and Kirishima, Japan. Member, New York Woodwind Quintet, Orpheus Chamber Ensemble, Mozzafiato.
