Born in Durant, OK

New York freelance artist performing with Orpheus Chamber Ensemble, Orchestra of St. Luke's, Metropolitan Opera, and on Broadway. Has performed with the New York Philharmonic, St. Louis, Houston, and Boston Symphonies, Aspen Festival Orchestra and Chamber Symphony, Little Orchestra Society, and P.D.Q. Bach's N.Y. concerts. Commercial radio and TV recordings; numerous chamber music recordings and premieres of new works with Parnassus, Group for Contemporary Music, New Music Ensemble, and Speculum Musicae; 38 recordings and numerous premieres of new works with the American Brass Quintet. Author: A Comprehensive Survey of Orchestral Excerpt Books for Horn. Awards: Concert Artists Guild; Chamber Music America's Richard J. Bogomolny Award for extraordinary service to the field of Chamber Music. Taught master classes at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Rome, 1991-93. Member, American Brass Quintet, since 1976. Faculty, Aspen Music School, since 1976; The Hartt School, since 2011.
