Principal bassoon: New York City Opera, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, American Composers Orchestra; member, Windscape, Festival Chamber Music. Frequent guest, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, including at the final state dinner of the Clinton presidency. Chamber music performances: Metropolitan Museum of Art, 92nd Street Y, and Caramoor, Grand Canyon, Marlboro, Mostly Mozart, Norfolk, and Spoleto festivals. More than 150 recordings for major labels, including Mozart's Bassoon Concerto with Orpheus for Deutsche Grammophon; other solo recordings: Bassoon Brasileiro and Baroque Fireworks on MSR Classics. Judge, Gillet International Competition, 1992 and 1996. Editor, Stravinsky: Difficult Passages, a comprehensive excerpt book of Stravinsky's works for bassoon (Boosey & Hawkes). Transcriber of works for solo bassoon, woodwind quintet, and winds and piano, published by TrevCo. Faculty, National Orchestral Institute, since 1992.
