Trumpeter Roberto Gándara studied at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (BM), and Juilliard (MM). He studied with Nilda Ledoux, Armando Guitalla, William Vacchiano, and Raymond Mase. Gándara has toured with the Gabrieli Brass for 13 years and has played with symphonic orchestras in the U.S., Europe, and the Caribbean. He has been an associate trumpet player with the Metropolitan Opera since 2010 and is a member of King’s Brass. His teaching credentials include seminars and master classes in Europe, the U.S., and the Caribbean. In addition to teaching at Juilliard, Gándara is on the faculty of the Renaissance School of the Arts in East Harlem.
