Danielle La Senna, born in Englewood, N.J., has been director of Juilliard’s Evening Division since 2008 and a faculty member since 2011. Her research interests include adult education and arts appreciation. She is the author of “Adults, Appreciation, and Participatory Arts Education,” which was published in 20 Under 40: Re-inventing the Arts and Arts Education for the 21st Century (2010). La Senna has previously worked as a research assistant on learning in museum study centers with Harvard Project Zero. Her performance experience is in jazz, classical, and musical theater. La Senna received her BM in voice performance from Indiana University and her EdM in arts education from Harvard.
