Bringing Back Britten

This month, Juilliard Opera presents Benjamin Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, Op. 54, with a libretto by Myfanwy Piper after Henry James’ novella. Pictured here is Amy Buckley singing Flora in the 2003 Juilliard Opera Theater production of the same work, which was conducted by Steven Osgood with Ned Canty as the stage director (and Benjamin Sosland, now administrative director of Historical Performance and assistant dean of the Kovner Fellows, as Peter Quint).
