Staff members who started at Juilliard in 2018-19

The following people have joined the staff during this academic year.

Jake Brown joins Information Technology as systems engineer from WWF-UK, the U.K. branch of the World Wildlife Fund, where he was an infrastructure engineer. He moved to New York City in October, having been a lifelong resident of London.

Brittany Camacho joins the Library as evening and weekend circulation administrator.

Patrick Cannady, Financial Aid administrative associate, was a site coordinator at the MacPhail Center for Music prior to joining Juilliard. Hailing from Minneapolis, he received his Bachelor of Music degree from Ithaca College. In his spare time, he enjoys anything related to music, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Cameron Christensen, associate vice president for facilities, has worked at Cal State, CUNY, and Brooklyn Academy of Music. His love of the arts began early and included the study of trumpet performance at a music academy in high school as well as a minor in college; he holds degrees in facilities management, business administration, real estate management, and nonprofit leadership. His wife is a trained vocalist and his baby daughter also loves to “vocalize.”

Jasper Davis, A/V recording engineer, is a trombonist, audio engineer, photographer, and cinematographer from Houston. His performances have ranged from classics concerts with the San Antonio Symphony Orchestra, premiering new works with the New World Symphony, setting the groove in Brooklyn-based salsa band La Pacha Mambo, performing traditional Chinese music with the Asian Cultural Symphony of New York, and performing in the St. Georges International Music Festival in the French Caribbean.

Jillian De Four joins the Writing Center as senior administrative assistant.

Boris De Los Santos, graphic designer, is a passionate believer in the power of clear visual communication who has designed a range of promotional materials for nonprofits and cultural institutions including the Museo Arqueológico Regional Altos de Chavón in the Dominican Republic and the Jersey City Landmarks Conservancy. He holds a BFA in illustration from Parsons School of Design.

Amelia Dent joins Production as assistant wardrobe supervisor.

Ashley De Peri, administrative coordinator for the Office of the Provost and Dean, received her bachelor’s degree in arts management and English from the College of Charleston. She began her time at Juilliard last fall as an apprentice for the Kovner Fellowship program. Prior to this year, she worked with a variety of arts nonprofits in Tennessee including Nashville Repertory Theatre, Humanities Tennessee, and the Nashville Shakespeare Festival.

Erin Fitzpatrick, human resources coordinator, joins us from Marymount Manhattan College, where she was the human resources coordinator for two years. From New York, she now resides in New Jersey, where she likes to spend time with her husband and son.

Heather Foye, Tianjin Juilliard School’s New York administrative assistant, previously worked at the Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity and AFS-USA and served as a volunteer tutor through the Fresh Air Fund. With interests in education and international relations, she completed a Princeton in Asia fellowship during which she taught English at Northeastern University in Shenyang, China. She holds a BA in international studies from Fordham University.

Zuri Gordon joins the Writing Center as junior administrative assistant.

Matthew Hamm is the development associate, foundation and corporate relations.

Lanee Hood-Hazelgrove is a piano technician/tuner.

Heather Huse, associate director of research and prospect management, comes to Juilliard from the development office at the Museum of Modern Art. From California, she has a degree in art history from San Diego State University, resides in Brooklyn with her tabby cat, Archie, and enjoys checking out art shows around the city.

Laura John, administrative assistant in Admissions, is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, and earned her bachelor of arts in dramatic art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She comes to Juilliard from the Roundabout Theatre Company and has previously held positions with the Walt Disney Company.

Slava Kagan joins Information Technology as global solutions engineer.

Mariah Katz, marketing assistant, holds a BA in global politics and comes to Juilliard from Copenhagen, where she was interning and working in communications. In her spare time, she loves spending time outdoors, writing, and acting. Having recently moved back to the U.S., where she was born and raised, she lives in Harlem.

Steph Marron, special events associate, graduated from the University of California, San Diego, and was a stage management intern at Juilliard in 2015-16. Her stage management credits include working at the Public Theater, Cleveland Orchestra, Music Academy of the West, South Coast Repertory, Old Globe, and La Jolla Playhouse; she’s also worked with the immersive production Sleep No More and was the venue rentals coordinator at New York Live Arts.

Gianna Pannullo, assistant director of Student Affairs, has always had a love for both music and student affairs. She received her BM in music education from Westminster Choir College and her MEd in higher education from Salisbury University.

Tomislav Pocina, senior technical support engineer, comes from New York University School of Professional Studies, where he was an IT technician for 11 years supporting faculty, staff, and students’ technology needs as well as designing and implementing classroom, lab, and staff computing environments. He holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems management from NYU.

John Popham, artistic administrator in the Office of Community Engagement, has taught cello for Juilliard’s Music Advancement Program for three years. He’s a member of the piano trio Longleash and the Either/Or Ensemble and has recorded for labels including New Focus, Tzadik, Carrier, and Albany. A co-director of the Loretto Project, an annual composition seminar in Kentucky, he is a doctoral student at the CUNY Graduate Center.

Christina Salgado, program manager for equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, joins us from Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, where she was the director of education and community engagement. Her experience ranges from developing equitable and accessible programming to researching the benefits of arts experiences. She holds a master’s from Columbia in movement science with a specialization in motor learning and control and a bachelor’s in dance with a minor in early childhood special education from George Mason University.

Jennifer Shirley, Global K-12 curriculum specialist for drama, worked in education at Lincoln Center Theater for more than 10 years. She holds a master’s in acting from the Institute for Advanced Theater Training at Harvard University and is the director of the Youth Company Performance Lab at MCC Theater. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two children.

Dan Stokes, director of disability services, was the coordinator of disability resources for the School of Visual Arts for six years and previously was the vocational rehabilitation director. Also a visual artist, soul and R&B singer, and interior designer, he holds a master’s in education from Hunter College and is a certified rehabilitation counselor (with a specialization in counseling individuals with disabilities). He received his BFA in painting and photography from Cooper Union.

Ta-Nay Townsend joins Public Safety as security officer.

Shamel Watson joins Public Safety as security officer.

Alexandra Wheeler, vice president and chief advancement officer, comes to us from the Whitney Museum of American Art where she led the organization’s comprehensive fundraising efforts for the past 12 years. She has more than 25 years of experience in fundraising and nonprofit arts management, including tenures at Cambridge in America, the Fund for Dance, and the Joffrey Ballet. She has a BA from Brown University and lives in Brooklyn.

Marguerite Winslow, box office assistant, previously worked in front-of-house positions at Berkshire Theatre Group and Shakespeare & Company. A lover of all things performance and music, she recently finished her studies with the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
